First Impressions || Charcoal Black Mask

Lately, I’ve been so obsessed with face masks. From home-made DIY Face Masks to company-made face masks like my Face-To-Face Facial Mask, partly because I love the idea of placing something on my face and knowing that my skin will look/feel better afterwards and partly because it’s honestly really fun.

That being said, I’ve been wanting to try a charcoal face mask for months because I’ve heard good things about it and because I think it’s very aesthetically pleasing and I want to take  pictures of it (Don’t roll your eyes at me)  so when I got a voucher from Jumia a while back one of the first things I added to my Cart was the Bioaqua Activated Carbon Charcoal Mask:

It comes in an aesthetically pleasing little black tube, which looks amazing when placed next to all my other skincare products. However, you’ll have to puncture the mouth of said black tube which is covered with a little silver foil and when you do that a little might spill out.

The application is quite simple. Wet your skin with a little water and squirt your desired amount to your fingers and apply on your face or the areas you wish. I noted it takes quite a huge amount for full coverage unlike my Face To Face face mask, but other than that I have no complaints.

I had the mask on for a total of twenty minutes during that time I felt the mask get more and more taut, till my face felt stiff. Then I used my fingers and got most of it off and washed off the rest while showering.

My face felt and looked smoother, and my pores were alot tighter. However it was drier, I think that’s because it absorbs oils, so thereafter I had to moisturize.

In general, I think it’s a great and affordable product and I’ll recommend it for anyone with wide pores, oily skin and also anyone who just wants to try a great face mask.

Would you try this product? Have you ever tried a Charcoal Face Mask? And how was your weekend?

  1. Ah uncle you did review of product but did not leave link or even add affiliate. I too have been seeing the charcoal mask everywhere and since my skin needs help, I’d love to try it. I’ll just search for it on Jumia or refresh this post in case you add the link.
